Huiles Berliet, oil manufacturing site: reception, safety and compliance

Who is on site? The badge answers

The attendance register compliance requires, kept by badge with no clicks, and the list by building on a phone the moment the fire alarm sounds.

Context

An oil manufacturing site welcomes visitors, contractors and drivers. For compliance, it must know at any moment who is present and in which building, apply its prevention plan and check everyone's induction training certificate.

The problem

A paper register at reception. Training certificates checked by hand. An evacuation list that was never up to date.

What we built

An application at reception, on four workstations and two large-format tablets.

  • The badge is enough: sign-in and sign-out happen by badge, without a single click. A reader plugged in like a keyboard reads it.
  • When the fire alarm sounds, the list of people present by building is available right away on a phone, for the evacuation and the assembly point: visitors, contractors, drivers and in-house staff. It shows on the emergency screen, and an automation sends it out.
  • Induction training is recognized automatically, from the certificates received.
  • The type of visit, the company and the building are recorded.
  • An administrator code protects sensitive actions.
  • Every evening at 11:05 p.m., the day's register closes and archives itself.
  • A dashboard shows management the visitors, contractors and drivers.

Result

Put into service on site on 14 September 2026. Enhanced in October 2026 from the team's feedback: temporary exit, in-house staff by building and, on 27 October, a filter by company type in the dashboard.

Sign-in and sign-out by badge, without a single click. When the fire alarm sounds, the list of people present by building is on a phone at once.
